The Shrimp Shack is a local seafood market and grill that has served hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world since its humble beginnings in 1973. While it has achieved international recognition, owners Dieter and Laurel Drews make every effort to support community businesses by serving locally caught and locally grown products. Their natural, organically raised Angus burgers are melt in your mouth juicy.
The sweet and tender oysters found in our famous Oyster burgers are supplied by Blau Oyster Company. Due to its enormous popularity, the Shrimp Shack has become known as the Home of the Oyster Burger. For those looking for a unique treat, try our beer-soaked alligator tenderloin, a delicious and nutritious elk burger, soft-shell crab sandwich or even one of our scratch-made chowders.
As the name suggests, shrimp are the main attraction to the business and are wild caught seasonally within the San Juan Islands by local fisherman. To be sure though, the Shrimp Shack is also proud to showcase other local seafood and some choice imports as well.
Once a seasonal business, the Shrimp Shack is now open all year and carries shrimp throughout the winter. Due to availability, it is suggested that you call ahead for your order or complete our order form and either e-mail or fax your request.
